質問主意書では、２０２２年８月27日に放送されたＴＢＳ「報道特集」の内容について、放送事業者に対し事実を曲げないことや意見が対立する問題をできるだけ多くの角度から報じることなどを義務付ける放送法第４条に抵触するか否かも尋ねた。
「全国拉致監禁・強制改宗被害者の会」（後藤徹代表）は、同番組が12年５カ月にわたって親族の信者を監禁し裁判で違法性が認定された女性らを出演させながら拉致監禁問題には触れず、家庭連合の宗教儀式に対し「人権侵害」と断じる一方的な内容だったとして抗議文を送っている。
