East District Family Gathering with Japan Local Church- 3rd Sunday of July

TO: All Blessed Central Families of East District

We are inviting all East District Family Blessed Central Families to join the 2023 Youth Festival event.

We encourage everyone particularly those who are accessible to the location to join us .

You may also invite English speaking guests since one of the guest speaker is a Christian pastor close to the Tama-Hachioji Church leaders and who would love to see international community among the audience. Since this is a YSP organized event, please invite Filjap 2ndGen to join.

NOTE:

• For the month of July, this will replace the planned every 3rd Sunday of the month which is Family Gathering for each District.

Event Features: Youth Speeches,Booth Exhibits,Raffle Draw with Prizes,Music and Dances, Food and Drinks

12:00 to 14:00 : Food and Drinks (onigiri,cake, Kakikori カキ氷冷麺,ramen, etc.)

and various booth exhibitions

Speeches, drums, dances, and community singing. The content of the event is about social contribution activities which includes reports and introduction of Charity Activities, Pure Love activities, Support for Ukraine and Homeless project support (Pastor leader of a christian community is coming to speak)

After the event, we will have coffee at the cafe and show you around the church. At the 4th floor is an exhibition hall that showcase panels of Unification Church history and True Parents course. Also it showcases valuable testimonies and items related to True Parents visit to nearby Akigawa in Akiruno in 1967.

Future Plan

Filjap has always been renting different venue facilities for family gatherings and Sunday Services in the past. This time , the FFWPU Hachioji Church is now offering their church owned facilities to be used by Filjap events/gathering from now which is a great blessing to our community. This is indeed a great timing to collaborate with local Japan church and build more relationship with other Blessed Central Families in Japan.

In addition to the Peace Festival Event, Hachioji Church is planning to organize series of English Sunday Worship Service coupled with Music Ministry in the afternoon of Sundays from then on . The 3rd Sunday of the month can be allocated for Filjap to collaborate with Hachioji Church.

More details of content of face to face gathering will be announced later.

Currently, there are 8 Filjap Blessed Families that are connecting to this church in addition to other Filipina sisters affiliated locally . This means that Hachioji Church is already familiar with Filjap Community. Also prior to the pandemic, some Filjap brothers have already organized some DP Seminars for English speaking guests using Hachioji Church facilities.

Looking forward to seeing everyone after a long time of not having a face-to-face gathering.
